The founder of DPLAW was born and grew up in England where he finished his pre-university studies. After gaining admission to the prestigious university of Warwick to read law he decided to relocate to Italy, the land of his ancestors, where he was enrolled at the LA SAPIENZA University of Rome.
After graduating and serving his obligatory military service in the Italian army, gaining the grade of Second Lieutenant, he started an internship with the law firm “Ferrara” in the town of Teramo in central Italy, and after earning admission to the bar practiced criminal law, civil litigation and banking law, with a growing reputation for his meticulous case analysis and preparation and and his hard ball approach in court.
Seeking other opportunities, he set up his own office taking on board his two most trusted collaborators who to this day are part of the office staff.
In his 30 year career he has served for 3 years as honorary magistrate dealing with criminal and civil law matters and is often appointed as receiver by the bankruptcy section of the local court.
Always curious of the different aspects of law, he furthered his studies with a perfection course in European Union Law, with took him to further his studies in Brussels and in Luxembourg at the European Court of Justice.
In 1998 he passed the QLTT in London, gaining admission to the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales.
He then returned to his Alma Mater, Rome University, for a second Masters Degree in International Business Law thus consolidating his knowledge of International commercial law.
His knowledge of the English language and of English and International Business law has enabled him to become the go-to lawyer for local businesses and SMEs in search of someone who assists them in their expansion to international markets and at the same time has become the go-to lawyer for numerous law firms across the globe in need of expert legal advice on Italian law and for representation before Italian courts.
